Diving in Khorfakkan

Situated along Khorfakkan Bay, a series of untouched underwater spots are a favorite among snorkeling and diving enthusiasts. With seven dive sites to explore, you can experience everything from wreck diving to vibrant reef dives. The crystal-clear waters reveal stunning coral formations and an array of rare marine life, all shaped by the unique granite structures of Sharjah’s underwater landscape. It’s a paradise for anyone looking to dive into nature's beauty!

Diving in Khorfakkan

The well-known area around Shark Island in Sira Khorfakkan is a prime spot for observing marine life such as the common blacktip reef shark, Moray eels, Arabian angelfish, and turtles. Martini Rock, nestled within a picturesque reef, spans approximately 160 meters in length and 80 meters in width. Visibility at this site typically ranges from 5 to 15 meters, with clear days offering up to 20 meters of breathtaking underwater views and colorful fish. The decommissioned boat, Inchcape, intentionally sunk as a diving attraction, adds a historical touch to the emirate's marine landscape and is a popular site for spotting cardinal fish, emperor fish, barracuda, and occasionally large rays. Khorfakkan’s dive sites, including Coral Gardens, Anemone Gardens, the Hole in the Wall, and Almanure, are home to abundant fish shoals, thriving underwater vegetation, and extraordinary ocean experiences.

To support sustainable tourism, visitors are encouraged to respect marine life, avoid touching or disturbing the ecosystem, and ensure they leave no trace, to preserve dive sites and the area's marine biodiversity.
