Shees Park
Overview

Shees Park is a prominent recreational destination in the Emirate of Sharjah, offering visitors a peaceful retreat within a scenic mountain environment. Its setting, facilities, and family-friendly atmosphere make it one of the village’s key visitor attractions.

Shees Park

Located in the midst of nature within the towering Hajar Mountains, Shees Park offers a tranquil and picturesque setting for visitors seeking relaxation and connection with the outdoors.

Extending over an area of more than 11,300 square metres, the park welcomes visitors with a stunning artificial waterfall reaching over 25 metres in height, creating a striking focal point within the landscape. The park features a variety of recreational facilities for children, along with shaded areas equipped with stone benches for sitting and relaxing, as well as designated spaces for leisure and picnicking—ensuring an enjoyable experience for all members of the family.

The park also includes a mountain walkway composed of three terraced levels, connected by stone stairways that lead to a main viewing platform positioned approximately 30 metres above the park level. From this vantage point, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding natural scenery in a safe and accessible setting.

In addition, the park features walking paths extending 506 metres, lined with palm trees and a variety of local plant species. Facilities within the park include:

  1. a dedicated children’s play area

  2. 32 shaded seating areas for families

  3. an outdoor theatre

  4. a designated barbecue area, developed in accordance with safety and environmental standards

Visitors will also find a branch of Gerard Café, offering coffee and light refreshments within the park.

To further enhance the visitor experience, the park provides modern services such as QR-based ticketing access and complimentary drinking water, ensuring convenience and accessibility throughout the visit.

How to Get There

Drive down Emirates Road (E611) and take the exit for Khorfakkan Road. You’ll need to continue down Khorfakkan Road for approximately 70 km, before taking the ramp toward the Shees area. Then continue straight from the roundabout onto Masafi Road till you reach Shees Park.
